Give it Up

Lily told us of her coach saying to her again and again "Lily, you can have anything you want in life, all you have to do is give up your pictures"
"But all I have are my pictures!"
"Exactly"

Of course! We are a kaliedescope of images: memories of the way it was, ideas and fantasies, visions of the way it should be....we continually project this stained glass collage of our 'reality' to the world around us, informing others of it, training those near to us how to act in this scene of our life, making life match our image because our mind sees it thus.
But what would happen if we gave up our pictures? Something new, something never before imagined, a clean fresh towel of a future to wrap ourselves in.

"So you're saying that everything happening in my life right now is a product of a picture in my head that I fulfilled?"
"Yep, that's what I'm saying."
"So when we're fighting and not getting along, is that also what we envisioned?"
"Absolutley. We created how the world would look to us in our minds long before we were out in the world. This is our paradigm. To shift our present reality then, we must give up our pictures, create from nothing. This is freedom, and the road to fulfillment."
